Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Tribological Properties of Laser Cladding CeO2/Ni60 Composite Coating on 35CrMoV Steel

A Ni60 cladding layer with addition of 6.0% CeO2 was prepared on 35CrMoV steel by laser technology. The sample placed at 500 °C, 600 °C and 700 for 60 min to explore the effects heat treatment tribological properties composite coating. microstructure, phase composition, microhardness coating were characterized optical microscopy scanning electron (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), micro-Vickers hardness tester MicroXAM-800 surface photometer, respectively. According above experimental results analysis, main components CeO2/Ni60 are γ-(Fe,Ni),Cr7C3,Cr23C6,CrB, CrFeB Cr2Ni3. By calculating FWHM value left shift XRD peak, it is found that grains remarkably refined microstructure uniformity significantly improved under condition °C. show has best friction wear performance wearing quality reduced 43%.
